ABOUT EMILY PERRIN

Emily Perrin, LMSW

 CEO and Founder

My name is Emily Perrin and I am the CEO and founder of Perrin Wellness and Performance. From the day I was born I have been in and around the world of coaching. My Dad was a Division I college basketball coach for the first 8 years of my life and is a performance coach who has worked with some of the best athletes and coaches in the world. My passion and interest in this line of work stems from him.

I grew up playing soccer and went on to play for the University of Virginia.  At the end of my playing career I stepped right into coaching at the youth level and spent three seasons at the University of Pennsylvania as an assistant coach.

Throughout my years of playing and coaching I have struggled with severe anxiety, panic, and depression.  I have been in a place of desperation and incomplete health more times than I can count. Through my struggle I embarked on a journey that lead me to mindfulness, a yoga mat, and several professionals that worked with me to address my health in an all encompassing way. But health does not mean simply addressing the physical body. Health means the mental, social, environmental, spiritual, behavioral, and emotional components. Health means every facet of your life.

I now help both groups and individuals learn tools and techniques to address their own lives in this way so that they can then find success.

I have a Masters in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver and am a Licensed Master of Social Work located in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a registered 200 hour Yoga Instructor, certified Mindfulness and Meditation teacher and Duke Certified Integrative Health Coach. I primarily work with athletes and specialize in putting unique and individual programming together that encompasses all three modalities to help athletes enhance their performance. When we help athletes address their health in an all encompassing way using these techniques and tools we set them up to reach peak performance and maintain it.

"Emily has really shown me what it means to be mindful of my actions and to keep track of my thoughts... she’s also helped me organize all of this while I am transitioning in to my college career."
